Hello Everyone...

Sorry that I haven't been updating my blog... Have been Busy with life and recently got engaged on Valentine's day!!!! Here's a picture of me!Anyways, continuing to the card that I would like to share is for Embellish Magazine Masculine color trend Challenge... I love the color combination and this card was so easy to make... I usually have a really hard time trying to make manly cards but this was a breeze! My Fiance is left for our home country for a month vacation and unfortunately I could not take 1 month leave from work... So I made him this card and slid them in his laptop bag so he check it out when he`s at the airport... I am so going to miss him!

Another Christmas wreath! I made this for my friend, Kendall... And I met her today and gave it to her. I'm glad that she likes them! Instead of the round wreath... I though a square one would be kinda different and cute. I had to roll dozens of the white paper to make the background... That was time consuming but totally worth it! The Santa claus is made out of red and creamy white felt using a silhouette machine design as a template... I actually did not have any red cardstock and thus I used felt which turned out better... I need to remember to buy red cardstock! And the papers are from the Echo Park Christmas collection.

I have something really cute to share today... It is a christmas wreath! I used the Echo Park Christmas collection Papers... They are just perfect for the Christmas scene that I was trying to create on my wreath... It was supposedly for the front door... But I changed my mind because I was afraid it will go missing the next day! Hahahaha... I am too in love with it and really don't want to lose them... So It is staying Indoors!

Today's card is inspired by Mojo Monday's Sketch 167 plus a tag using Kazan's Sketch 67 @ 2S4Y... I have chosen to do the round card instead and love how it turned out! And the tag just completes it! It actually took me probably an hour to make this card... Hahaha... But it is worth it... I had to rewrite "winter" again because initially I wrote it straight onto the purple paper and it was too distracting... And then I thought of giving it a little white paint and it now looks perfect...

Happy Saturday!

It was actually snowing really hard here last night... But everything melted by noon time. I had to work on Saturdays and it was quiet initially until a sudden afternoon rush of customers! I actually hope it snows now so that I can make a snowman! I've never made a snowmen in my entire life... Always have been living in tropical countries until 4-5 years ago and just never had time to make one! Here's some Christmas cards that I've made and 1 of them is using MojoMonday's sketch #165.

Hello everyone!

Today's card is inspired by Kazan's sketch #66 at 2Sketches4You .
My colleague at work gave me these really cute candy/cupcake stickers and I just really wanted to use them on this week... They just look so delicious and love the colors. Ohh and I am so excited today as I got to play with my brand new camera, Canon Rebel T2i... I have totally no idea how to use it really and only used it for 15minutes so far today to take a picture of the card... So excuse the bad photography skills here! It's getting really cold, icky and gloomy here in Vancouver so here's a card that should bring back some brightness and smiles!

Hello everyone!

Now for today's card I am using CPS sketch #193... I am not sure about you but having a sketch actually helps me a lot when making a card... It gives me inspiration and not make the same layout over and over again... I made the cute little octopus out of felt and I used the design from the silhouette machine and use it as a template to cut around and assemble. Ofcourse I added some "blush" on her cheeks just to add more cuteness!

This card didn't take up too much of my time becoz I could still do "cute" baby boy cards. :) I still get very uneasy when I have to make guy cards though... Hi... It's been a long time since I post anything... I've been making cards but just did not have the time to post them on my blog... Today I'd like to share Christmas cards that I made about a week ago. I've been playing quite a bit with my silhouette machine and made the the font, snowflakes, Santa claus, penguin and etc. It really helps with creativity and to create easy but unique cards! Also... I just bought a cuttlebug! (I've been eyeing on this thing for such a long time and finally decided that it is time!) everyone should buy it! I like that it is compact and it has a suction that sticks to the table for ease of use! Next up will be the nestabilities by spellbinders... Gosh! This is really making a big hole on my wallet! Hahahaha...

Anyways, I hope everyone enjoys my cards! And I will be posting my other cards that I made for the 2sketches4 you blog challenge!

Tuesday trigger - Exercise in Exotic

Well now it is good to be back home! I was away on vacation for a couple of weeks visiting Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec city... The weather was extremely humid at Toronto, rainy in Montreal which was quite surprising. Anyways, David and I enjoyed ourselves and I wished I had more time for shopping! Lol!

Good morning everyone! The weather has cooled down a little bit herw in Vancouver. It has been pretty warm the past few days but it was alright for me because we have the A/C on at night...

Anyways I came across a blog called scrap-it-lah... And they are having a July altered challenge... Their design team are absolutely creative and definitely a blog for creative inspiration. And so I have altered a plain white photo frame in something totally cute and whimsical. I am still waiting for the perfect photo to be put in it...

I've been trying to play more with my silhouette machine and sometimes it is not working... I must be doing something wrong. What I like about this Machine is that I could have the freedom to create anything I want using the adobe illustrator software. Still practicing and hoping that this will be less painful each time I cut. Anyways, the hammock and the font was cut using the silhouette for Kazan's sketch from 2sketches4you blog.

Hello kitty and baby card

I finally got my silhouette sd! So excited that I finally can cut basically any shape or fonts I want... It's worth every dollar because now I can sort of save money. Rather than buying letter stickers I could use the silhouette machine. Now for my first creation with my digital cutter. I present the hello kitty card:

I used adobe illustrator to create individual shapes and cut them with different colored papers.
Next card is fresh from heaven baby card and I had the deer cut out using the silhouette sd.

I haven't been crafting for the past months... But I am feeling very creative lately... I love 2s4y blog and I have made a couple of cards using their sketches. I now work in Robinson Lighting and Bath Centre in Vancouver, across the Olympic village. Roads are under construction everywhere, including our store expansion for our bath department. Things are moving along, some displays are being put together. It is going to be awesome, especially for me since I will be working in that section... I will be posting some before and after pictures of my work place, I just have to remember to bring along my camera!

Coffee Mug Tutorial

Requested by Raquites... Taking the pictures sure take a lot of time... But I like Visual Instructions better. I've made some changes to the template to make it easier. Added a sleeve template and sentiment that I used in the card.

When selecting which p.paper to use on this project. I would recommend a thicker double sided P.paper just to give a little more sturdiness. Enjoy!

Supplies:
P.Paper: Scenic Route
pen: staedler
eyelet & brad: Making Memories
Lace ribbon: Daiso

*NEW* Template:

Instructions:
1. Cut out and outline/distress all the pieces.

2. Glue together the mug cover.

3. Adhere just the edges using a double sided tape.

4. Adhere the mug cover with an eyelet.

5. Adhere the Sleeve. (Front and back)

6. Tie ribbon around the sleeve.

7. adhere brad on the sides and pop-dots behind.

8. Adhere to card.

Love how my coffee mugs turned out! Perfect for placing starbucks gift cards for your loved ones. For the cup shape, I used a image of a mug and traced it in illustrator. But, if you're not good with the program, you can just print out an image and trace it out...
Oh.. and I don't have a starbucks gift card so i put sth else instead... haha..

Hi! I'm Back!

Well Hello everyone! I know I've dissapeared for quite a while.. pretty busy i guess..

The long awaited gingerbread house. I was just preparing for xmas.. I know summer's just begin but I wanted to finish this up and hopefully sell them. The house shape was traced from clear scraps acrylic house album and I cut them out from chipboard.

At first I doubt myself that it'll look nice... But now with the finished piece, I LOVED it! I drew and handcut most of the embellishments like the chocolate chip door and window; snow; christmas tree and ofcourse the gingerbread man! he's a cutie..

So here's the gingerbread house... Taa daa!

Ohhhhhh... I can hardly wait till the end of the month... Coz I'm gonna be MOVINGGGG!!! The new place just blows me away.... SO MUCH better than my place right now... Let me tell you the diff...

My current place:
It's a 3 bedroom + 1 Bathroom.
It's split into 2 floors so the Kitchen and my Housemates room are on the 1st floor.. and the other 2 bedroom and bath is on the 2nd..
So it's such a pain for me to go downstairs just to get a glass of water(especially at night). Same thing for my roomies... they have to climb the stairs to go to the bathroom..
We have no Insuite laudry, and have to go to the laundromat once every week..
The kitchen has a corner sink which is giving my back a hard time.
My cabinet door does not close.. Now don't ask me why i moved to this place...
It's a longgg storyyy...

But anyways..
My NEW place is gonna have a big kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer and 2 bathrooms!!! Plus++++ Everything is brand newww!! the place is so much brighter and less depressing..
I'm going to decorate my room... I bought 4 sheets of 12x12 paper(orange and green) and i'm going to stick them to a canvas board and hang them in my room.. I'll post it up once i've made themm...

ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT I'M SUPER DUPER EXCITEDDDD!!

Phew! Finally I have some time to update the blog...
Made quite a few cards that i haven't had a chance to take a picture of them until today..

Next week I'm going to be teaching my 1st class at Remember Me! It'll be A "Spring" Acrylic Tag Album and so far I have 4 people that have signed up.. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow and upload it for everyone to see.. I just bought an "Owl" stamp by Inkadinkado... He's so CUTE!

"WhoOo LoVes YoU?" card.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill.
Patterned Paper: Scenic Route (Laurel Marsh Haven Lane).
Pen: Zig (Evergreen).
Font: Britannic Bold.
Stamp: Inkadinkado (Owl).
Bling: Hero Arts.
Card Size: 5 1/4" x 4 1/4"

Instructions:
1. Make Base Cardstock.
2. Trim around the leaf. (leave the bottom part).
3. Cut the reverse side of the P.paper slightly smaller than the base card.
4. Adhere both P.paper to base cardstock.
5. Stamp the "Owl" image.
6. Add Bling.
7. Print and adhere "Whooo loves you?"
8. Draw the stitch lines.
Note: Make sure both P.paper lines are alligned.

A card that I made from PaperCrafts Wendy Johnson's card [Sketch for Joy of Card Making].
I'm Still figuring out on how to submit it to their website.. hehehe...

Supplies:
Cardstock: (Pink) Bazzill Basics Paper.
Patterned Paper: (Twitterpated from Crush line) Fancy Pants.
Fibers: (Garden party) Making Memories.
Fonts: (Baveuse) www.dafont.com
Adobe Software: (Illustrator CS).
Clear stamp: (Penguin Chick from A Shore Thing collection) Imaginisce.
Ink: (White Pigment ink, Charcoal Chalk) Colorbox.
Marker: (Yellow, Pink) Letraset.
Bling: (Gemstones) Hero Arts.
Flower: (Essentials Just Us) Prima.
Others: Foam Tape.
Finished Size: 3 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Instructions:
1. Make card from cardstock.
2. Cover 1/3" of card with the reverse side of the patterned paper.
3. Adhere ribbon.
4. Print "Aloha!" on white cardstock.
5. Stamp Penguin above "Aloha!", Trim, Mat around
pink cardstock and ink edges. (Adhere w/ foam tape).
6. Adhere flower and bling on 2 opposite corners.

I was reorganizing some scrapbook materials that i had into a binder... and I was about to throw this Heidiswapp packaging... But I thought I could make sth out of this... I ended up with a monkey head... Used Heidiswapp hearts for her eyes.. Thought it'll be interesting..

Phew... I finally made another card... it's been a while since i've made 1... I was down with a cold last week.. But i'm getting better..

I went to Deserres a.k.a Loomis, they were having a 100th anniversary sale... Lucky Me!! They had a bunch of cool stuff there although not as complete as a specialty scrapbook store. But i did find some nice things to buy.. ^o^

Anyways, here's my Birthday Card...

My creation for today... It started off with the Rub-on, and i had the perfect left over paper that matches the damask on the rub on... so... There you go....

Supplies:
Cardstock(Bazzill); Patterned paper(americancrafts); Ribbon(mayarts); Flower(heidiswapp); acrylic stamp(DMD); ink(colorboxchalk, warm red & Creamy brown); Button(autumnleaves); Rub-on(Scenicroute); Bling; fiber.

Instuctions:

1. Trim brown cardstock 11-5/8" x 3-1/2".

2. Fold them into diff. sizes. longer piece(6-1/2")

3. Trim yellow cardstock into 4-3/4" x 3-1/2".

4. Cut scalloped edges on the yellow cardstock.

5. Trim flower paper into 4-1/4" x 2-3/4" & ink edges brown.

6. Stamp a bird onto a piece of white cardstock & trim around frame.

7. Add "round thank you" rub-on & button w/ fiber onto flower.

8. Adhere yellow cardstock, flower paper, "bird" img , flower, ribbon & bling onto the brown base.

9. Add "Thank you" Rub-on onto the bottom of the card.

Oh i so have been wanting to have my own dog... and i was searching through the internet roughly what kind of dog i would like... at first i was looking at havanese, shitzu mostly small dogs with furry coat.. and then i was just on the phone and i asked david what type of dog he'd like.. and he said Jack russell.. so i looked at some pictures on the internet.. and i found they were cute... well.. it might be another 1 or 2 years before i do get a dog... But here's some pictures of jack russells... aren't they cute??

So here's one of first try on acrylic tags. It was a challenge at the beginning.. but i quickly get the hang of it.. It was fun trying to think of ways to make both sides look good and not showing the glue...
